Week by week throughout the Move for Mental Health Challenge, kilometre by kilometre, people just like you have pushed the bars up on the graph above.

This week, for the first time, the cumulative total of all those individual walks and runs, skates and skis, rides and slides has surpassed 100,000 km, sitting—for now—at 109,431 km. Amazing!

Two leagues jostling for first place are Hazeldean and Ritchie. Their residents’ efforts have sent their respective league totals soaring, but always within reach of each other.

As of Tuesday, March 9, Hazeldean was in the lead with 25,551 km, 475 km ahead of Ritchie with 25,076 km. It’s anybody’s guess who will top the standings when the Challenge ends on March 31. Stay tuned!

The challenge, which aims to improve participants’ mental health through exercise and the camaraderie of a shared goal, is in its final sprint to the finish. The collective goal—250,000 km—is an ambitious one. With your help, we’ll close in on it!
