Ritchie Community League’s Centennial Celebration
On September 17, 2022, the Ritchie Community League celebrated its centennial with a day’s worth of festivities that included a free pancake breakfast, a party in the park, and concert in the hall.
The Ritchie Community League would like to thank all the board members, staff, volunteers, and community members who came out to celebrate this historic milestone. We couldn’t have done it without you.
We would like to thank our Centennial Committee, Seghan MacDonald, Erin Fraser, dallas Bartel, Aaron Getz, Nigel Greenways, Elyse Colville, Linnea Bell, and Lydia Neufeld, for their role in steering not just the day’s event, but the year-long Centennial Celebration.
We would also like to thank David Woo, Carly Steiger, Jaclyn Segal, Simon Belanger, Rowan Macnab, and Avnish Nanda for all of their help and support planning and executing the day’s activities.
We would like to thank all of the community businesses that supported the event: Re:Plenish, Sparrow Counseling Collective, Infill North, Grindstone Theatre, the Paint Spot, Clayworks, the Beauty Parlour, Inglis Environmental, Global Pet Foods, Ebike Edmonton, Rumor Boardshop, Foxrunner Tattoo, Drift Food Truck, Bent Stick Brewery, and Strathcona Spirits. And the performers who entertained us all day: Marlaena Moore, Major Love, Aladean Kheroufi, John Guliak, The Brigadiers, Jay Gilday, and Lindsey Walker, as well as visual artist Evan Pearce.
Finally, we also want to acknowledge the generous support of the Government of Alberta, the City of Edmonton, the Edmonton Heritage Council, and CJSR.
