Ritchie reclaims lead in movement challenge

Leagues are to report their own results weekly by Sunday night. The above is a screenshot taken Monday morning, Feb. 8. For the most up-to-date results see the Results page.

Move for Mental Health is a simple challenge: Get moving!

Keeping the winter blues at bay depends on it. And, by adding your distance to others, competing to log more than other leagues, you also chip away at the social isolation we’re all feeling this Winter of All Winters.

Here’s where we stand, as of Feb. 8:

Ritchie has taken the lead with a total distance logged of 13,392 km so far. (We added 2,357 km last week.)

Combined, all leagues have logged 55,503 km toward a collective goal of 250,000 km. That’s an increase of 6,560 km over last week.

Inglewood has joined the challenge and posted 707 km in its first week. Welcome!

You CAN have fun in the deep freeze!

An extra ask…just for Ritchie members

If you have the financial means to make a donation, consider supporting the mental health of our neighbours. We’ve set up a donation page on CanadaHelps for these three Edmonton charities:

  • i-Human Youth Society

  • The Mustard Seed (Southside Shelter)

  • Momentum Walk-in Counselling
