Animals can make our community vibrant. The City of Edmonton's Animal Licensing and Control Bylaw aims to encourage responsible pet ownership, safety, and community harmony. The 20-year-old bylaw is getting a fresh makeover to reflect modern animal practices, welfare, and integration. 🏡 Zoning Bylaw Talk: Engage with EFCL Director
The Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues is hosting an online event on September 20, 2023, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM MDT. They're diving into the new Zoning Bylaw. Register for this event here.
They'll cover topics like mixed-use development, land use, affordability, and more. You'll also get a chance to ask questions to EFCL Executive Director Laura Cunningham-Shpeley. It's a great opportunity to engage and get answers about the zoning changes!
🏙️ Edmonton's District Planning: Get Ready for Public Engagement
The City of Edmonton is leading the District Planning project to guide neighborhood redevelopment for a future population of 2 million. This involves District Policy covering citywide policies and district-specific plans for areas like Ritchie which is included in the Scona District. Public engagement on draft plans is coming up. You can prepare by checking out resources like the District Plan Guide and the Overview of Changes to understand how plans impact decisions. It's an exciting city-shaping effort worth diving into!
