Q & A with 'The Line' Filmmaker

  • Ritchie Community League 7727 98 Street Northwest Edmonton, AB, T6E 5C9 (map)

Here’s an exclusive opportunity you don’t want to miss!

Through a collaboration between Ritchie Community League and local filmmaker Anthony Goertz, league members can hear, first-hand, how The Line was made and the issues it explores. The conversation will be hosted on Zoom by Ritchie Community League’s own Erin Fraser. She’s sending out meeting details Monday, Feb. 15. If you want to be included, drop her line!

Q&A with Filmmaker: Tuesday, Feb. 16 @ 7:30 p.m.

What’s The Line?

The Line profiles the lives of those who sort our trash in Edmonton—people too often “discarded” by society because of criminal records, disabilities, struggles with addiction or simply their status as newcomers in Canada.

Goertz’s powerful documentary reveals them as our brothers, our sisters, our friends—people who are helping all of us reduce our ecological footprint and finding community with each other.

The film was released in the fall and is currently on the festival circuit.

If you are a Ritchie member, you can stream The Line for free all February long, but there’s only one chance to meet the filmmaker...on Tuesday evening, Feb. 16!
